"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" - Mother teresa.

ACOP’s Music Festivals "Children for Peace"

ACOP Music Festival is one of the most visible successes of the program. Parents, Children and supporters all come out in large number. The Festival is a showcase for the children to shine and an opportunity for all students to demonstrate their newly acquired skills. This extraordinary event signifies the peace and friendship between children from different ethnic and religious backgrounds and gathers around 2,000 people and artists from the community.

The festival begins with a "Children for Peace" Award Ceremony in which ACOP recognizes prominent community leaders with “The Children for Peace” award for their continued support. They have publicly expressed their solidarity with ACOP's mission but most of all to the underprivileged children of Miami-Dade. ACOP currently offers music instruction to students in Miami at Overtown, Allapattah, Little Haiti, Little Havana, Hialeah & Kendall.

The Festival features, the “Children for Peace” Parade (Joining Children together in a March for Peace), a Dove Release Ceremony and the ACOP Little Idols competition for kids, in which American Children's Orchestras proudly represent their different schools by performing their best pieces. Free Lunch is provided for kids at ‘The Children’s Pavilion’ and raffles, Face Painting, Clowns, Parents for ACOP Orchestras, diverse musical entertainment for Parents and much more.

The “Parents for ACOP” Orchestras come to the fore at the event as parents join their children for a phenomenal “Parents for ACOP” Orchestra performance. ACOP understands the importance of parental involvement in their children’s activities.

The Festival provides an opportunity for children from different ethnic and religious backgrounds to build cultural understanding and good will, regardless of social and economic barriers.
