You can make a difference by giving of your time to help the American Children's Orchestras for Peace.

1. Give a Financial Gift and Sponsor-A-Orchestra.

2. Become a volunteer: Assist in community special events, in the office, or by raising funds.

• Street Teams - Organize Street Teams and collect donations at intersections, shopping centers, and other public areas in your local community.

• Bake Sales - Do you make a mean chocolate cake? Is there a new cookie recipe you've been dying to try out? Well here's your chance! B ake up a batch of goodies and bring it to work, church, or anywhere else. Let everyone know you're selling home-made sweets to combat homelessness and hunger and they'll be even more likely to take some off your hands. Lacking baking prowess? Don't worry, a candy sale will do just as well.

• Car Washes - Grab some friends and host your own car wash. This is the perfect way to get outside and work on that tan while having a whole lot of fun and raising money all at the same time.

• Garage Sales - Want to get rid of some of that stuff clogging up your closet or your garage? Maybe you can even ask your friends that same question. We all have tons of stuff that we just don't use anymore, and here's your chance to put it to good use. Have a garage sale benefiting The Hope Movement. It's a great opportunity to give yourself some extra space while making a difference.

• Parties - Who doesn't like a good party? Throw a party and ask your friends to make a donation or pay a cover at the door. It's a great excuse to get everyone together for a fun-filled evening while raising funds for life-transforming initiatives.

• Candy Jar - A candy jar is a great way to fundraise while peaking your co-worker's curiosity and generating a little healthy competition. Simply put a glass jar on your desk filled with small candies like jelly beans or M&M's. Then for only a dollar your co-workers can wager a guess at how many candies are inside with the closest guesser taking home all the goodies.

• Get Creative - There are literally a million different ways for you and your friends to reach your fundraising goal. All you have to do is think them up.
